WHERE: In 2020, join us for online workshops
Lorna Boschman is a digital media artist who collaborates in community. Her earliest documentary Scars (1986), collaborations with Vancouver artists Kiss & Tell (1992-2002), the self-advocate community (2000, 2006), and digital storytelling mentorship supporting a lesbian living with metastatic cancer in just being (2015) are among her productions. Lorna’s provocative approach to media creation helps people share their story within a larger community context.
Lorna co-designed a digital storytelling workshop for the national research study Cancer’s Margins. She was the Vancouver Mayor’s 2016 Arts Award honoree for Film & New Media and chose Sebnem Ozpeta as the 2016 Emerging Artist for Film & New Media.
Sebnem Ozpeta is a Vancouver-based visual artist, video editor, and videographer. She studied graphic design in Turkey, where she was born and raised.
